Loft - 21/04/2020

AUTOCAD

In this class we learn the different types of EXTRUDE, the LOFT, and EDGESURF.

We started by creating a random shape, and then we did different types of Extrude, the first one was "normal", that is perpendicular to the base.

The second one, is the DIRECTION method of the Extrude, that is defined by 2 points.

The third one, is the PATH, which follows a shape, circular, quadrangular, etc.

And the forth one, is the TAPER ANGLE, the angle is given by us.

We learn too, that we could Extrude line, so we draw a semi-circle, and did the perpendicular EXTRUDE. We also draw 2 circles, one smaller than the other, and use SUBTRACT, to remove the small one.

We did another circle, insert it in the other two, and SUBTRACT the last one made.

Since we can't Extrude, lines that are overlapping, we need to use REGION.

When we SUBTRACT one of the forms made, even if it makes separeted pieces, once we EXTRUDE, it will Extrude all of the pieces at the same time.

Then we moved to a Hiperbolic Surface, we started by drawing a square, then added lines, in 2 of the extremes, one line bigger than the other. And then we made lines, from the top of those lines, to the square.

After did we did EDGESURF.

To add some thickness to the surface, we do THICKEN. We will choose the second when a box pops up. And after we choose the thickness. And we can also give thickness to other surfaces.

And last we learn how to do a Loft. First we draw 3 shapes, they can be equal, or different. Then we give them different heights.

After that we do LOFT, and we select the three shapes, starting from the bottom one, to the top one.

And then add thickness to it.

A different form, by using the same method, but only with circles.
